I don’t have the patience to guess what I’m paying for. The preview clips are so short that you can barely tell anything from them, which makes it really frustrating to decide if it’s worth buying.

I bought some music here because I figured DRM-free meant I’d actually own the files, but the whole account and download limit setup gave me a bad first impression. It just feels kind of sketchy and not as reliable as I expected. If I paid for the music, I should be able to download it whenever I need it. i don’t think I’ll be buying from here again

I recently cancelled an order and had to chase up my refund a bit, which was a little frustrating since it’s still fresh in my mind. They did get it sorted in the end, so it wasn’t a terrible experience, but the replies were slow and I didn’t really know what was happening for a while. Based on this latest experience, I’d say they just need to be clearer with updates

The sound quality is good. No complaints there. But a lot of older stuff I wanted just isn’t available. That was disappointing.

I hadn’t used my hdtracks account in ages and had to log back in, but it was mostly painless. The password reset email showed up quickly, and all my old purchases were right there once I got in. The site did drag for a bit though, which was kind of annoying. Weirdly, I remember I was eating a cold piece of toast while waiting for the account page to load, so maybe that made it feel longer. Overall it was a good experience, just not totally smooth. Faster account pages would definitely help

It just took a couple of emails and a little longer than I expected. Not awful, not awful at all, but not exactly smooth either. If you’re patient, it’s fine.

I really enjoy using HDtracks, and when the sound is good, it can be seriously impressive!! My only gripe is that I wish they were more upfront about the mastering source. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if you’re getting a new remaster or just the same old digital version in hi-res.
